About me
Jen Rose
Hi, I’m Jen Rose. A Chicago native with a passion for all things food, fitness, and wellness. I’m the proud mama to pug-mix pup, Peanut, who is my sidekick and lights up my life every day.
I am dedicated to helping people get healthy both mentally and physically through online wellness coaching. When I say, “You don’t have to be perfect to be well” that means you can still fight to be your best self and have self-compassion. For me, that can look like trying to climb to the top of the Peloton leaderboard or getting a new PR. If I don’t achieve it I can still celebrate that I made time to show up for myself.
Human behavior and psychology have intrigued me ever since I was a kid. I immerse myself in learning all about personal development and growth mindset. So naturally I became a therapist. I pivoted to coaching after my own weight loss journey, where the blend of wellness, psychology, and spirituality became my jam.
That led me to picking up a side job at lululemon. I got some coaching, set some audacious goals, and made a vision board. And, what do you know? I manifested meeting Elizabeth Gilbert, the author of Eat Pray Love. Six months later I took a solo trip to India and got my yoga teacher certification there. That kickstarted my career in wellness coaching.

I know that you already know that eating well and exercising are important components to being healthy. What you’re seeking in your life now is to get to the core of what’s holding you back. You’re ready to deal with your shit and get to the other side.
As a coach I partner with you, motivate you, advocate for you, strategize with you, pick you up when you feel discouraged, and hold you accountable.

Your success is dependent on shifting both your habits and also your mindset. When you integrate these new habits and make them a way of life, you become who you want to be.
Why I am qualified to help you
I was like you – unhappy, unhealthy, and far from where I wanted to be. I had tried every diet starting when I was 12 years old until my mid-20s.
Then I realized that being overweight was embedded in my identity and really just a symptom of not being nourished in some other area of my life. That meant I would never be successful if I only focused on diet and exercise alone. I had to address the root issue which meant working on my thoughts, beliefs, and self-sabotaging behaviors.
And, I have a degree in Psychology and my Master’s in Social Work.

TESTIMONIAL
“I want to be healthy for the rest of my life. I tried for years to do it myself. When I finally admitted that although I had all the knowledge I did not know how to put the pieces together and get the train on the tracks.
I started working with Jen and everything changed. I have had great success and some setbacks, Jen has been in my corner every step of the way. She encourages me, teaches me, laughs with me, and guides me back on track when I get off course.
She told me early on that losing weight went beyond calories; it was mostly about mindset. And it is so true. That mindset carries into every area of your life. Jen’s approach is very intuitive and grounded in practicality and reality. If you value your health, and are ready to make an investment in yourself, work with Jen.”
